The Sun Rises, The Sun Sets, and I'm Just a Spectator

I'm so tired. I volunteered my seat on this afternoon's 12:40pm flight to DTW and the best they could do was confirm me on the 12:40am flight direct to MSP. Your Kindergarten math should tell you that's 12 full hours to kill. I got my $300 voucher, which is super good cool fun, but it has consequences. I hung around for the 3:45pm flight to MSP hoping I could standby. With my status and all, I was #2 on the list; 1 person got to go. :/ So they gave me $20 in food vouchers and said see ya. I went into downtown SF and milled about, but got really chilled as I have no jacket (remember, I went to Singapore and Malaysia), so I went back after an hour or so of walking around. Had a long, leisurely dinner on NWA's dime and still I have almost 3 hours to kill. I should be able to sleep most of this redeye which should allow me to function on at least a minimal level tomorrow, but I think a good nap tomorrow evening or early bedtime is definitely in order. It's now approaching 14 hours that I've been at SFO...
