April 2nd Update
Just a little update to keep this thing semi-current.
My travel for April includes:
4/26 - 4/27: Washington, D.C. for the annual Freddie Awards.
4/27 - 4/29: Portland, OR to San Jose, Costa Rica (via Atlanta and Minneapolis) [mistake fare]
May:
5/4 - 5/6: Portland, OR to San Jose, Costa Rica (via Atlanta and Minneapolis) [same mistake fare, second trip]
I think that's it for now. No further travel plans until June, but as always, plan for change. ;)

I have never been much in favour of online shopping. The idea that the ancient physical delight of strolling the marketplace or bazaar and taking in its sights and smells might one day be replaced by clicking and dragging from a desktop is one I have always found more repugnant than convenient. But that was before I found out aboutWhat is Etsy? If you ask its founder, 27 year old Brooklyn based Rob Kalin, Etsy is "a childhood word from a Fellini movie" that he chose because "it embodies the curiosity of imagination" (the naughty Kalin has also playfully told the press that Etsy comes...http://bestnews-4u.com/

Satyadev Dubey came from Bilaspur in Madhya Pradesh to Mumbai with the intention of becoming a Test Cricketer. Instead, he got ensnared in the world of theatre. He joined the Theatre Unit, the theatre group cum school founded by Ebrahim Alkazi. “The teacher who influenced me most, however, was P.D. Shenoy,” says Dubey. “It was he who pointed out to me that the structure of a play is the network of tensions that holds its different parts together. Once that was grasped, everything became clear.” And the characteristic feature of all Dubey’s productions has been the attention to the structure of the play, and the absolute clarity of detail, with no fuzzy corners or unresolved...http://bestnews-4u.com/

Benitez reportedly is feuding with Gillett and Tom Hicks over how much money the coach can spend on new signings during January's transfer window. Gillett and Hicks, owner of the NHL's Dallas Stars and baseball's Texas Rangers, bought Liverpool in March. "They don't understand what the transfer window means in Europe," Benitez said after Liverpool won 3 0 at Newcastle in the Premier League on Saturday. "They need to understand how difficult it is to sign players. "I was trying to explain, now we try to keep focus and win games. If they understand what the market means they will understand we are trying to do the best for the club." European soccer teams can trade players only during transfer periods in January and the off season in July and August. They released a statement Thursday asking Benitez...http://bestnews-4u.com/

It's Thanksgiving. A day of giving thanks. A day to share with friends and family. A day of food and football. And for a handful of Nextel Cup drivers, a time to play a little Texas Hold 'em. Well, not actually. But if it were, we imagine the day would go something like this... The curtain opens to reveal a bunch of guys playing cards in the basement of Nextel Cup champion Jimmie Johnson's house. Michael Waltrip has just joined the table. Mark Martin is off to the side playing pinball. Dale Earnhardt Jr.: Keep an eye on Waltrip. We saw what he pulled at Daytona. Waltrip: Oh, hush, June Bug. At least I finished the races I started. Junior: And how many did you start? Kevin Harvick: I think he had more commercials than starts. Waltrip: Hey, Kevin. Have you won anything since the first hand? Harvick (gets up from the table):...http://coolnews-4u.com/
